Art and cultural education

At the MUK, research in Art and Cultural Education is conducted within the MAE (Master of Arts Education) and IGP (Music Education – Voice and Instruments) degree programs, as well as within the framework of the new PhD program. The many social changes of the 21st century necessitate the development of new forms of artistic teaching and communication. The evolving balance between teaching practice, art education, and creative inspiration through art, alongside the growing emphasis on participation, is fundamentally reshaping the demands placed on educators.

Research projects focusing on creativity, participation, and audience development play a pivotal role in addressing these challenges. Through mandatory and elective courses, as well as project-based formats, students gain hands-on experience in practice-based and theory-driven inquiry, equipping them with essential research skills.
