Rental of recording equipment

The Students’ council (ÖH) of the MUK provides recording equipment for video and sound recordings to registered students of the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna. These can be reserved, borrowed and returned through the library.

The following devices are available:

For one week, with a one-off renewal of a subsequent week (subject to availability):

• 7x Zoom Q 8 video - audio recorder (plus tripod if required)

For a period of 2 weeks:

• 1x Zoom H-6 audio recorder
• 1x GoPro Hero 5 black

If you need the camera at a specific time, we recommend that you book it in advance at the library, either in person or via e-mail ( bibliothek@muk.ac.at ).

A deposit of € 40,00 in cash is required for the Zoom Q8 cameras. Please always check the equipment for completeness on return, otherwise we will replace any missing parts and retain the price from the deposit. If you do not return the device on time we will charge € 1,00 per additional day.

We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the device before the actual recording, there are very good instruction videos for all devices on YouTube.
