MUKaccount

All members of the MUK are provided with a MUKaccount to access several IT-services. You must activate your MUKaccount yourself via MUKonline using a PIN-code. With your MUK account you can use the following IT-services:


The username for all IT-services is your generic MUKmail address

  • 01234567@students.muk.ac.at for students
  • f.surname@muk.ac.at for employees.


The password for MUKonline applies to all IT services, and can only be changed in MUKonline.
 

Password change/forgotten/expired

The password of your MUKaccount is valid for 180 days. Before the password expires, you will be reminded by email to update it. To do this, open the application Change Password in MUKonline.
If you have forgotten your password or it has already expired, you can reset it yourself. To do this, go to the MUKonline login-page and click on the link under Password forgotten/expired. Identify yourself by entering your registration number/social insurance number/verified email address.
You will receive a PIN-code on your private email-address that you provided at the start of your studies or employment. Therefore, regularly check that your email-address is correct with the help of the Student Affairs Office (students) or Human Resources Management (employees).
Once you have received your PIN-code, go back to the MUKonline login-page and click on the link under Redeem PIN-code. After entering the PIN-code, your date of birth and (for students) your registration number, you can set a new password.

After the password has been changed in MUKonline, it may take up to 15 minutes for it to be updated on all IT-services.
