The Erasmus+ program is one of the European Union's major success stories, fostering cross-border mobility of students, teaching, and faculty staff since 1987.
Once again, the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) successfully applied for participation in the new ERASMUS+ program generation 2021—2027 and received the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education from the European Commission. The implementation of Erasmus+ mobilities and projects is based on MUK's internationalization strategy, as articulated in the Policy Statement of the Erasmus Charter.

MUK has agreements (known as Inter-institutional agreements) with over 180 partner universities from nearly all European countries, establishing a network for student, faculty, and staff mobility. Erasmus+ not only provides financial support for participants' mobilities but also exempts students from tuition fees at MUK and abroad, ensuring comprehensive recognition and consideration of acquired study achievements.
