As well as substantiated engagement with all stylistic eras, the branch of study recorder (Early Music) offers opportunities to perform, orchestra productions and chamber music events. Workshops, masterclasses and seminars on a variety of topical issues complement the degree.
The field of study Music Education – Voice and Instruments (IGP) focuses not only on a comprehensive artistic recorder (Early Music) education but also on the development of pedagogical mediation and communication skills. The development of practical teaching skills is provided by the cooperating music schools of the city of Vienna, as well as by the supervision of the MUK teachers and helps the students to be able to independently develop according to their own pedagogically valuable convictions acting teachers.
