Entry requirements
a) The completion of an artistic or scientific diploma or master's degree programme or an equivalent degree programme that is relevant to the subject area at a recognised post-secondary or tertiary educational institution. In the case of an academic degree, artistic experience must be demonstrated.
b) The successful completion of all parts of the commission-led admission examination
c) The availability of a study place

In principle, doctorates are conferred in the field of artistic-scholarly research for the Doctoral Programme in Artistic Research of the MUK. Individual doctoral projects can focus on the following six research areas:
For PhD projects that require or substantially benefit from interdisciplinary supervision, it is possible to engage supervisors from different research areas (e.g. Artistic supervisor: Composition/Music Theory, Scientific supervisor: Performance Art).
