Trombone

The branch of study trombone offers a choice of tuition on the tenor trombone and / or the bass trombone. Tuition on auxiliary instruments, such as the alto trombone, bass trumpet and euphonium, frequent opportunities to perform, orchestra productions and innovative projects, from live electronics through to interdisciplinary performance, complement the degree along with workshops, practice auditions/competitions with feedback, masterclasses and seminars on a variety of topical issues.

The field of study Music Education – Voice and Instruments (IGP) focuses not only on a comprehensive artistic trombone education but also on the development of pedagogical mediation and communication skills. The development of practical teaching skills is provided by the cooperating music schools of the city of Vienna, as well as by the supervision of the MUK teachers and helps the students to be able to independently develop according to their own pedagogically valuable convictions acting teachers.
