Kevin Jones currently serves as Assistant Professor of Jazz Trombone at the Florida State University College of Music. Dr. Jones previously held teaching appointments at the University of Texas at Austin, the University of South Carolina, Lander University, and Presbyterian College. He has presented at the International Society of Jazz Arrangers and Composers Symposium as well as the Jazz Education Network Conference .He has performed as a trombonist or saxophonist with James Brown, Kenny Loggins, the Ringling Bros. Circus, the Temptations, Bucky Pizzarelli, Aretha Franklin, Joshua Redman, David Sanborn, Bill Holman, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Jim McNeely, Burt Bacharach, and Barry Manilow, among others.
