Ivar Costenoble (born 1975) is Singing teacher at the Musictheatre Department at the Fontys School of Performing Arts, Tilburg, in the Netherlands. Many of his students play main roles in musicals in the Netherlands, Germany and many other countries. He is also a teacher in ensemble singing, choir, popensemble and singing methods.
In 2002 he graduated as the first singing teacher of Music Theatre in the Netherlands at the Fontys Musictheatre Department, Tilburg, where he got his lessons from Edward Hoepelman.
He studied two years of Classical Singing at the Conservatories of Maastricht and Tilburg, and studied two years of Jazz Singing in Arnhem.
Lately he studied extreme rock techniques like grunting.
As a low bass he played roles like Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Petrus in Der Mond, Collins in Rent and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd.
Sang as Arabic soloist and bass-soloist at The Armed Man (Jenkins) at the Gedächtniskirche in Berlin (2012), and was the leadsinger of the Apollo Bigband (price winner “best soloist” Dutch Bigband Contest).
Toured the Netherlands as singer and vocal coach for the Jeanscompany in Jeans 11 & 12 & 13 & 14.
Ivar Costenoble is also an arranger and composer.
