Founded by Leona König in 2016, IMF supports highly gifted children between the ages of 5 and 18 in their musically development. The Vienna-based association aims to make classical music accessible to a wider audience, especially to the younger generation. The most talented young musicians in the categories of piano, violin, violoncello, flute, clarinet and trumpet are sought for the annual „Goldene Note“ music promotion prize. The competition is held in three age groups (up to 12 years, 12—15 years and 15—18 years). The deadline for the age restriction is April 1, 2022. The finalists selected by a jury of experts will perform as soloists with the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. All finalists receive a scholarship for IMF master classes, a concert performance with accompaniment by the RSO Vienna and participation in an episode of the ORF young talent format „Stars and Talents“. The MUK is a cooperation partner of the „Goldene Note“.
In 2022, the „Goldene Note“ will be awarded for the 6th time.
Submissions can be sent to office@im-foundation.com by March 17, 2022.
