Unter dem Label SCHLAGWERK WIEN! veranstaltet die MUK seit vielen Jahren Symposien, Konzerte und Masterclasses. Das Line-Up der aktuellen Ausgabe versammelt mit Casey Cangelosi, Pius Cheung, Eriko Daimo, Edoardo Giachinto, Friederike v. Krosigk und Theodor Milkov sechs Stars der internationalen Perkussionszene hier bei uns in Wien – COVID-19-bedingt natürlich online in unserem virtuellen MUK-Lehrsaal.


Edoardo Giachino: „Tambourine, triangle and other small percussion in orchestra“

Edoardo Giachino is the percussionist of the Orchestra Nazionale di Santa Cecilia of Rome since the audition won in 2009. In 2007 he was chosen by Zubin Mehta to be the percussionist of the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Since 2010 he is Professor of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.  
He has developed new performing techniques, he has made videos and his channel is followed in Europe, Asia and America. He wrote seven teaching manuals and various pieces of concert music expressly written for his students.  
Very active in the field of contemporary music, he plays as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles, collaborating with many composers and performing national and international premieres.  
In 2015 he founded Takt-Time, a group of eclectic musicians offering pieces of baroque, romantic, rock, contemporary, folk, urban music, giving life to a new sound experience created by the use of traditional and alternative instruments.
