Michael Nielsen's work as a jazz guitarist has been focused on Odd-Meter performance as well as pioneering cross-boundary collaborations in the areas of acoustic, electric, electronic and microtonal guitar music with musicians from the classical, flamenco, traditional Irish, Indian and Turkish traditions. During his professional career Michael has worked with jazz greats such as David Liebman, Kenny Wheeler, Kenny Werner, Larry Coryell, Dominique Di Piazza, Joe Lovano, Paul Wertico and Richie Beirach.
