Durch das Bild - Through the Image. The Secret of My Bag

Im Rahmen eines Erasmus-Intensivprogramms finden von 30.08.-10.09.2010 improvisative Performances und Workshops zu Bühnenbildern mit Tanz-, Schauspiel-und Musikstudierenden aus vier Ländern an der KWU statt.

Die Abteilungen Schauspiel und Tanz der Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität (KWU) konzipierten und kreierten das Erasmus-Intensivprogramm Durch das Bild – Through the Image. The Secret of My Bag, welches zusammen mit den Partneruniversitäten Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Dijon, Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava und Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul seit Herbst 2009 bis September 2010 mit Intensivphase in Wien ab 30. August bis 10. September 2010 zur Umsetzung gebracht wird und zu großen Teilen aus Fördermitteln der EU finanziert ist.
Ziel ist die innovative Erschließung europäischer zeitgenössischer Tanzformen und Improvisation in den Bereichen Schauspiel, Instrumentalmusik und Gesang über die inspirierende Vorlage einer Bilderreihe – erarbeitet im Studium, in zusätzlichen Workshops und Seminaren. Die KWU ist Veranstalterin und Gastgeberin bei diesem Projekt. Begegnen wollen wir Tanz-, Schauspiel- und Musikstudierenden anderer Nationen, anderer kultureller Lebensräume – KünstlerInnen, die sich mit der gleichen Bilderfolge befassen und mit ihrer Kunst, ihrem Tanz, ihrer Improvisation zu einem neuen Bild und zu einer neuen Momentaufnahme – der internationalen und interdisziplinären Kunstform Schauspiel/Performance/Instrumental- und Gesangsimprovisation und Tanz – in dieser Begegnung beitragen. So entsteht „Bildende Kunst“.

Die Ergebnisse werden auf internationaler Ebene über DVD-Präsentation kommuniziert und sollen als besonderen Output den künstlerisch-interdisziplinären und transdiziplinären Horizont an Kunstuniversitäten international erweitern und innovativ bereichern.

The acting and dance departments of Konservatorium Wien University conceived of and created the Erasmus intensive program Durch das Bild – Through the Image. The Secret of My Bag. This program is currently being conducted together with the partner universities Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Dijon, the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul. It began in the autumn of 2009 and will continue until September 2010 (with an intensive phase taking place in Vienna from 30 August 2010 to 10 September 2010), and its funding has come in large part from EU grants.
The objective is to have participants explore European forms of contemporary dance and improvisation in the areas of acting, instrumental music and singing via an innovative approach based on an inspiring model that consists in a series of images—which are dealt with first in day-to-day study and, later on, in special workshops and seminars. KWU is the organizer and host of this project. We desire to encounter dance, acting and music students of other nations and other cultural spheres—artists who all react to the same series of images and, through their art, dance and improvisation, arrive at a new image and a new snapshot-in-time, thus contributing to the international and interdisciplinary art forms of acting, performance, instrumental and vocal improvisation and dance.
This program is to give rise to art which conforms to every meaning of the German descriptor “bildend”: visual, educational, formative.

The program’s results will be communicated on the international level via DVD presentations, which are meant a special output that should serve to expand and innovatively enrich the artistically interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary horizon at arts universities internationally.
