Programme-specific measures

For study programmes whose curricula involve regular activities with higher transmission risks (e.g. close contacts, larger groups in rooms), specific protection concepts are elaborated by the programme management in cooperation with the COVID-19 task force of the MUK.

The specific protection concepts are communicated by the heads of the study programmes and the COVID-19 representative of MUK in the respective study programmes.

At the Faculty of Music and in the study programme Instrumental (Vocal) Pedagogy (IGP), the following classes are possible in presence:  

  • Central artistic subjects (ZkF): maximum 1 student and 1 teacher  
  • Solo or class correpetition: maximum 1 student and 2 teachers (correpetitor can also be a student)
  • Ensemble or chamber music lessons: maximum 4 students and 1 teacher  
  • Individual courses supplementing ZkF exclusively in consultation with the Dean of the Faculty: maximum 2 students and 1 teacher
  • Teaching practice classes: maximum 2 students and 1 teacher (no external student teachers)


At the Faculty of Performing Arts and in the Master of Arts Education (MAE) study programme, the following teaching practice classes are possible:  


Programme Singing and Opera:

  • Central artistic subjects: maximum 1 student and 1 teacher (without mask for students, with masks for teachers, partitions); for the studies opera and operetta: maximum 4 students and 2 teachers per group (all with masks).
  • Solo or class correpetition: maximum 1 student and 2 teachers (correpetitor can also be a student; without maske for students, with masks for teachers and correpetition, partition walls).
  • Individual courses supplementing the ZkF only in consultation with the responsible head of study programme: maximum of 2 students and 1 teacher or maximum of 1 student and 2 teachers.


Musical Entertainment Theatre programme:

  • ZkF and Dance courses in small groups: 4 students and 1 teacher.
  • Individual courses supplementing ZkF exclusively in consultation with the responsible head of the study programme: maximum of 2 students and 1 teacher or maximum of 1 student and 2 teachers.


Drama programme:

  • Small ZkF group: maximum 4 students and 1 teacher.
  • Individual courses supplementing ZkF exclusively in consultation with the responsible heads of study programme: maximum 2 students and 1 teacher or maximum 1 student and 2 teachers.


Dance programme:

  1. Small ZkF group: maximum half groups of students and 1 teacher


Contemporary Dance Education programme:

  • Small ZkF group: maximum 4 students and 1 teacher
  • Rhythm lessons: maximum 4 students and 1 teacher


Master of Arts Education (MAE) programme

  • Small ZkF group: maximum 4 students and 1 teacher
  • Individual courses supplementing ZkF exclusively in consultation with the responsible head of the study programme: maximum 2 students and 1 teacher or maximum 1 student and 2 teachers
  • Teaching practice courses: maximum 2 students and 1 teacher (no external student teachers)


Board examinations are carried out according to the specifications of the respective programme management in compliance with the safety concept.
Students will be informed separately by the programme management.

Exam preparations for the academic year 20/21 are possible in accordance with the applicable safety concept.
