At the MUK, in all public areas and as soon as there is more than one person in a room, there is a general obligation to wear a FFP2-mask.
All MUK members regularly clean their hands with soap and water for at least 30 seconds. If hand washing is not possible, hands must be disinfected with hand disinfectant, which is available in dispensers.
The members of the MUK shall independently ensure regular airing of the MUK premises. Hourly airing of the office and practice rooms for at least 10 minutes is obligatory. In the case of lessons: after each lesson/rehearsal during the entire break until the next lesson/rehearsal. Interior rooms without windows (except infrequently used storage rooms) must be ventilated through the door for at least 10 minutes every hour; the theatre and podium have ventilation systems that ensure sufficient air exchange.
In general, a distance of at least 1 metre must be maintained in the general areas of the MUK buildings and during lessons; a minimum distance of 2.5 metres applies to artistic-practical lessons with singing, speaking, flute.
The COVID-19 task force has set a maximum occupancy for all teaching and practice rooms at the MUK. On the MUK website you can find the current room concept (max. number of people) for classroom teaching and practice. The number specified there refers to all persons present in the room — students and lecturers in total. Teachers are obliged to ensure that the maximum occupancy of the rooms is adhered to with the applicable spacing regulations. Lifts are to be used individually only if absolutely necessary and then without exception.
