COVID-19 safety concept for external persons

If you have symptoms or fear you might be ill,
entering the MUK is not permitted.
    Stay home and dial 1450.

The COVID-19 safety concept of the MUK is ranked as the house rules, is based on the corresponding ordinances and recommendations of the ministries and is continuously adapted.

External persons invited by MUK staff members may use the MUK buildings and infrastructure exclusively for the agreed purposes during the COVID-19 pandemic, provided that the protection concept is observed and as long as they are not ill, taking into account the following basic rules.

External persons may only enter the sites with the permission of the responsible course management or the COVID-19 task force.

Vulnerable persons are advised not to come to the MUK during the Corona pandemic.

All measures listed here are subject to changing legal requirements.

1. Corona testing obligation

Only tested, vaccinated or recovered persons will be allowed access to MUK sites. Appropriate proof (e.g. a valid negative Corona test, proof of vaccination or proof of having overcome an illness) must be presented to the porters upon entry. Detailed information can be found here. Please note that self-tests are not accepted as admission tests.

2. Hygiene measures and rules of conduct

Mandatory masks

  • At the MUK, masks are generally compulsory in all public areas and as soon as more than one person is in a room (for the purposes of this regulation, a mask is a tight-fitting mechanical protective device covering the mouth and nose area).

Keeping distance

  • Everyone is responsible for keeping a distance of at least 1 metre during gatherings of any kind. In the case of artistic practical work involving singing, speaking or flute, a distance of 2 metres must be kept.

Room occupancy

  • The COVID-19 task force has set a maximum occupancy for all classrooms and practice rooms at the MUK. On the MUK website you will find the current room concept (max. number of persons) for classroom teaching and practice. The number specified there refers to all persons present in the room — students, lecturers and guests in total. It may not be exceeded.
  • Everyone is obliged to ensure compliance with the maximum occupancy of the rooms with applicable spacing regulations.
  • The maximum room occupancy applies to any kind of gathering in the MUK rooms (teaching, rehearsals, meetings, etc.).

Hand hygiene

  • Everyone pays attention to hand hygiene (sneezing into elbows, washing hands with soap and water, hand disinfectant is still available in dispensers...).

Ventilate rooms

  • Everyone is responsible for airing the MUK rooms regularly (at least 10 minutes every hour, at least 10 minutes after each lesson/rehearsal).
  • Interior rooms without windows (except rarely used storage rooms) must be ventilated through the door for at least 10 minutes every hour; the and MUK.podium have ventilation systems that ensure sufficient air exchange.
