COVID-19 safety concept of the MUK

Stay healthy! Stay negative! Get vaccinated! (as of 25 April 2022)

In view of the falling infection figures and the general withdrawal of safety measures, the COVID-19 safety measures at the MUK are reduced to the recommendations to wear FFP2 masks and for regular testing, and the access restrictions are lifted.

FFP2 masks

At the MUK, FFP2 masks are not compulsory, but recommended.
If any person in the room requests FFP2 masks, all present are required to wear them.

Teaching and examination

Attendance lists must be kept by the course leaders for teaching and examinations.

Events

At events at the MUK locations, the audience is recommended to wear FFP2 masks. All performers must present a COVID-19 test on the day of the event and the MUK will provide antigen tests.

Testing

There is no compulsory testing beyond event operations, but all MUK members are strongly advised to continue to make regular use of the free COVID-19 testing services. For activities with an increased risk of infection (wind instruments, singing, dancing, acting), antigen tests will be made available for rehearsal at larger productions. The heads of the study programmes should contact b.wilfinger@muk.ac.at for this purpose.

Obligation to report

All persons infected with COVID-19 are obliged to report to covid19@muk.ac.at, staff members additionally to personal@muk.ac.at.

Corona contacts are collected by the MUK and contact persons must stay away from the MUK for 5 days. Exempt from this are persons who have worn an FFP2 mask throughout the contact with a person who later tested positive and persons who have themselves contracted COVID-19 within the last 60 days before the contact and persons who are fully immunised. Those are encouraged to wear an FFP2 mask on the MUK for the five days following contact.

Course-specific COVID-19 safety concepts

In addition to the general regulations, the heads of the study programmes can develop and communicate programme-specific COVID-19 safety concepts in cooperation with the Corona Officer of the MUK.

All measures listed here are subject to changing legal requirements.
