DESCRIPTION:Johan van der Linden ist Saxophonprofessor an der Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, am Kons gibt er nun Meisterklassen.4. März 2011:  9.00-15.20 Uhr 
5. März 20119.00-14.00 Uhr   Johan studied saxophone at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. Did masterclasess with Frederick Hemke, André Beun,  Jean-Marie Londiex, Iwan Roth, Daniel Deffayet and François Daneels. Since the formation in 1982, he is primarius of the world famous Aurelia Saxophone Quartet for whom he wrote many arrangements and recieved many prices.Johan studied saxophone at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. Did masterclasess wth Frederick Hemke, André Beun,  Jean-Marie Londiex, Iwan Roth, Daniel Deffayet and François Daneels. Since the formation in 1982, he is primarius of the world famous Aurelia Saxophone Quartet for whom he wrote many arrangements and recieved many pricesIn 1988, the Aurelia's won the Edison, a prestigious price for the best CD recording of that year. With the Aurelia Saxophone Quartet he made 10 cd's.He is also a member of the Netherlands Wind Ensemble (NBE) . As a freelance musician he works frequently with many Dutch Orchestra'"s (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and many others).From 1982 till 1990 he was a member of the Royal Military Band in The Hague.Together  with his colleges of the Aurelia Saxophone Quartet, he wrote a method for saxophone . He is a freelance soloist of chamber music and professor of saxophone at the Conservatoire in Enschede and Utrecht .  His music and arrangements are published by; Global Music Facilities ,Tierloff Muziekcentrale , Molenaar and Periferia Music.Johan is endorser for Selmer saxophones and Rico Reeds.  He plays on Paraschos wooden necks.
