DESCRIPTION:Composer Gene Pritsker talks about his work as an orchestrator and arranger for an eclectic array of projects. Including arranging an album of music and working with the late Joe Zawinul, composing and arranging for such international classical soloists as Sarah Chang and Anne Akiko Meyers as well as orchestrating such movies as Perfume, Story of a Murderer (directed by Tom Tykwer), Cloud Atlas (starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, directed by Tom Tykwer, Lana & Andy Wachowski), current hit TV series Babylon Berlin and the Netflix series Sense8. Gene will demonstrate how all of his orchestrations and arrangements go through his compositional spectrum, and how he creates a unique sound by combing his personal compositional techniques to other composers' music.
