DESCRIPTION:Gastspiel im Rahmen des Kultursommer Wien 2021
Die Absolvent*innen des Studienjahrs 2020/21 der Tanzausbildung an der MUK präsentieren das dreiteilige Programm ARTICULATION und geben dem Publikum Einblick in die Diversität des zeitgenössischen Tanzschaffens an der MUK. Die Choreografien sind von Esther Balfe, Doris Uhlich und Manfred Aichinger in Zusammenarbeit mit den Tänzer*innen in einem Online/Hybrid/Präsenz-Probenprozess einstudiert worden. Die Choreograf*innen haben das Programm in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Tänzer*innen entwickelt.

After all this time of isolation, we can’t ignore the now, we’re fragile and dance on rocky ground … but we glow when we are together so, the night doesn’t feel so cold…

This work has been a ‘work in progress’ for the past 3 and a half years, culminating and revealing itself in the form of 3 parts. The first being a concert in togetherness and autonomy at the same time. The second; a series of solos devised from an interview in the future and the third; the product of a series of workshops in Choreographic Objects. There is an internal narrative to the overall work but the dancers aim to migrate from scene to scene as the external outcome appears in other forms.

Die Sehnsucht nach lauter Stimme, Eruption und unbändiger Körperlichkeit war der Anstoß für Doris Uhlich und die Tänzer*innen der MUK, sich mit der Energie des Punk auseinanderzusetzen. In Laute Sterne wird die Gruppe eine tanzende Band, die die widerständige Musik von damals wiederbelebt und mit ihren körperlichen Biografien in Verbindung bringt.
